Central Marbella and the Golden Mile
Its upmarket shops and quiet excluisve residential areas such as The Sierra Blanca, Cascada de Camojän, and the Marbella Hill Club or Altos Reales, make Marbella the place to be.
The resort town is full of elegant nightclubs, famous luxury hotels such as the legendary 'Marbella Club Hotel' or the 'Puente Romano', beach clubs and restaurants with chequered tablecloths, spilling out onto the pavements.
Looking for something really up market on theCosta del Sol, where better to go than Marbella? It's chic and has grown into one of the most famous resort destinations in the world. Exclusive nightclubs and a casino host the cream of European society, but there are also many pleasing cafes and beach bar restaurants specialising in paella and sangria.
Don't forget the varied shops hidden in little winding streets at the heart of the old town.
Further west there's Puerto Banus, with a harbour full of luxurious boats and yachts belonging to the rich and famous from all over the world. When in Puerto Banus try to visit the comprehensive 'Corte Inglé' department store, and the many elegant boutiques like Versace, Armani and Hermés, which line the streets of the port. There are some very fashionable VIP restaurants too.
Just a couple of kilometres to the north is Marbella's famous Valle del Golf or Golf Valley. It climbs up through the neat suburbs of Nueva Andalucia that stretch out from the twin resorts of Marbella and Puerto Banus to the foothills of the Sierra Real and the Sierra Blanca mountains.
Here you can find one superb course after another along this winding road. Some of the Costa del Sol's finest layouts can be found here, often virtually touching each other. These include Aloha Golf, Las Brisas and Los Naranjos Golf.
